Corrosion control and prevention is highly technical, complicated and expensive. Only the best trained can hope to win the war on corrosion.
LifeGuard Active Rust Primer Keeps It Simple:
- Pressure Wash
Unlike Industry Standard, which requires abrasive blasting to remove almost all existing paint and rust, LifeGuard Active Rust Primer goes directly over clean tight rust and clean tight paint. And LifeGuard does not need a surface profile for long term adhesion like standard epoxy primers. That means the abrasive blast is in the past. All you have to do for a perfect surface prep is pressure wash with fresh hot water at 7000 PSI to remove all surface contaminants, loose rust and loose paint. Then apply two thin coats (2-3 mils wet) of LifeGuard Active Rust Primer for long-term barrier coat protection against new rust. Finally, topcoat LifeGuard with any standard marine or industrial epoxy, alkyd, acrylic, polyurethane or polysiloxane coating.
